Salary: £31,000-£33,000 depending on experience

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated person who possesses a strong working knowledge of adult social care and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission to oversee the delivery of high quality care at a 23 bed residential care home in Nottingham.


You will oversee the day-to-day delivery of high-quality dignified care service promoting respect, equality and the independence of Service Users.


All job offers are subject to enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references.


Are you the right person for the job?


  • Possess the QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, choosing one of the following pathways: Management of Adult Services and Adult Residential Services
  • Have at least two years of experience working with the elderly within the past five years and in addition, at least one year’s experience working at a senior level in a Caring Environment
  • Have a good track record of working with the relevant local authorities’ expectations
  • Sound knowledge of Safeguarding practices
  • Excellent IT skills with good knowledge of & usage of MS Office (Excel, Word etc)
  • Must be familiar with electronic care planning e.g. Person Centred Software and Atlas E Mar
  • Ideally registered with the CQC as a manager previously
  • Have a practical approach and be hands-on when needed
  • Approachable, dependable, tenacious and confidential Able to attend the Company at any time, if required
  • Able to cooperate with other health professionals, and build and maintain positive relationships at all levels


Your role will include, but not be limited to


  • To manage the Care delivered to Service Users to the highest professional standards
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the care home, from recruitment and training to budgeting and compliance with support from the directors
  • To ensure that the provision of care exceeds the National Standards outlined by the CQC and Nottingham Council
  • To participate in personal development activities
  • Provide effective leadership & direction to staff, ensuring all teams are working collaboratively and in line with company policies and procedure
  • Maintain take-up/capacity
  • Manage resources and budgets appropriately
  • Ensure all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively
  • Manage information appropriately in line with GDPR
  • Manage energy and promote morale within the home
  • Manage quality in line with the expectation of a minimum ‘good’ required at CQC and Local Authority inspections
  •  Develop and implement strategies that promote quality of care for our residents
  • Ensure that all safety standards are met in accordance with regulations
  • Monitor and respond to customer inquiries related to vacant beds
